DEA’s next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 23, 2023
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
October 23 was recognized as National Drug Take Back Day, which is a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired drugs. A drive-thru drop-off event was available at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. In Gallipolis, 22 pounds of expired/unused prescriptions and over the counter medications were turned in.
We’re here to inform, empower, and unite the people in our community who struggle with substance abuse and mental health problems or want to know more about substance use freedom to promote prevention, educate, and establish connections by providing resources and opportunities.
